The All-Russian Jewelry Exhibition - Fair "UralJuvelir-Spring 2021" will be held in Yekaterinburg from April 8 to 11


The traditional pre-holiday exhibition-fair “UralJeweler” begins the season of jewelry exhibitions in the calendar of the “Universal Exhibitions” Association. This is a special jewelry project, the goals of which are to present the current range of jewelry and conduct wide wholesale and retail trade on the eve of the spring holidays on February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day and Women's Day on March 8.

The exhibition brand “UralJuvelir” has long gained popularity not only among residents of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region; specialists from the cities of the Greater Urals, Siberia, the Volga region, Bashkortostan and other Russian regions also come here to conclude contracts. The jewelry exhibition, which brought together more than 600 exhibiting companies at the VDNKh site, lasted 5 days. The exhibition program, as always, was intense. And a special place here was given to Ekaterinburg jewelers. Thus, all days at the Natasha Libelle stand, an international consultant invited from France, Natalia Filatova-Kietine, a journalist, fashion historian, graduate of Central Saint-Martins (MA), worked at the Natasha Libelle stand, who advised and answered questions of interest to both participants and guests of the exhibition.

All days at “JUNWEX Moscow” there was a stand of the Yekaterinburg City Administration providing information and presentation materials about the city from the “Capital of the Urals”; At the “Mineral Show” showcase, anyone could get acquainted with the works made from Ural stones by students - winners of the “Danila Master” competition. As part of the Day, a tour of the stands of Ekaterinburg companies was carried out, and a number of issues on the regional project “Jewelry Russia” - “JUNWEX Ekaterinburg” were discussed at the office of the Russian Jewelry Trade Club.

On Saturday, September 28, a solemn ceremony was held to award the winners of the All-Russian jewelry competition “The Best Jewelry of Russia.” The products submitted to the competition were evaluated by a high-ranking jury - art historians, art critics and researchers from the State Hermitage, the Moscow Kremlin Museum and the Russian Ethnographic Museum. Ekaterinburg jewelers, speaking at JUNWEX Moscow with the motto “Ekaterinburg is the capital of Russian jewelry fashion,” confirmed that they are the best: they took three first places!

The work does not end there; preparations begin for the next event within the framework of the Jewelry Russia Program - the JUNWEX Yekaterinburg exhibition, which will take place from November 14 to 17, 2022. The city of Ekaterinburg will present its jewelry works of art and will host jewelry manufacturing plants from all over Russia at the Ekaterinburg-EXPO IEC, where anyone can not only admire, but also purchase a precious gift for their family and friends.

Cost of tickets and excursion services

In order to visit the Emerald Room, you purchase a ticket for 300 rubles. Tours last 45 minutes for groups of no more than 9 people. When visiting this exhibition, it is advisable to make a request in advance.

To see only the exhibition halls, it is enough to purchase a ticket for 50 rubles. To get acquainted with the permanent exhibitions and exhibition halls, a general ticket is purchased; it costs 250 rubles.

The right to a discount ticket worth 100 rubles. (upon presentation of document) have:

  • pensioners;
  • students;
  • disabled people of group 3.

A ticket for children under 18 years old costs 50 rubles.

Excursions, which are conducted for groups of up to 20 adults, as well as for children's groups with free admission, cost 800 rubles.

The cost of excursion service is 500 rubles, if it is:

  • a group of preschoolers no more than 15 people;

  • children under 18 years of age (with a paid visit).

Among adults accompanying children's groups, 1 person is entitled to free admission.

When a tour of the Museum of Jewelry and Stone-Cutting Art is accompanied by a theatrical performance with competitions and quizzes, an additional fee will be charged for each costumed character. One - 200 rubles, each additional - another 100 rubles.

The museum can also be visited during non-working hours, but the cost of all services doubles (with mandatory excursion accompaniment).

A ticket is not required to visit all rooms, with the exception of the Emerald Room:

  • preschoolers;
  • Heroes of the Soviet Union, the Russian Federation and recipients of the Order of Glory of all three degrees;
  • veterans;
  • disabled people of groups 1 and 2;
  • conscripts;
  • workers and employees of museums;
  • persons taking part in the opening of exhibitions;
  • children without parental care;
  • honorary citizens of the Sverdlovsk region;
  • holders of the 1st degree distinction “For services to the Sverdlovsk region”.


Excursions to the emerald room.

On Thursdays from 12.00 to 14.45, youth under 18 years old can enter without a ticket.

On Wednesdays the following can take place without payment:

  • every third are students and cadets;
  • every third from 11.00 to 17.15 - minors;
  • the last one is pensioners.

On the last Sunday of every month, members of large families have the right to free admission.

Collections of the Museum of the History of Stone-Cutting and Jewelry Art of the Urals

The Museum of the History of Stone-Cutting and Jewelry Art is located in a building that was built in 1821 for the needs of the pharmacy of the Mining Department.

The museum introduces the works of the Yekaterinburg Lapidary Factory (EGF), which in the second half of the 18th century. engaged in the processing of jasper and quartz, agate, topaz and rhodonite. Great importance was attached to works made of malachite.

The collection of stone-cutting art displays parts of the icon case that were not used during the construction of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in St. Petersburg, which were made by order of the EHF.

The number of demonstrated seals made of semi-precious stones reaches 100 pieces. Among all this diversity you can see the EHF seal.

The continuity of generations in stone cutting can also be traced in the works of modern masters. More than 300 copies reflect the art of 30 Ural carvers. Among the exhibits you can see figurines, slides, mound paintings, and mosaics. Large items that serve to decorate interiors are also not ignored.

Gem cutting

The art of Ural cutters has left its mark on the world practice of processing precious stones. The Yekaterinburg facet that emerged here enhanced the play of light.

The exhibition displays a collection of emeralds, rubies, demantoids and other semi-precious stones with ancient processing.

Among the sets representing types of stone cutting, you can see the works of masters of past centuries and contemporaries. Unusual processing of quartz, rock crystal and other stones allows us to look at these minerals differently.

Jewelry Art

Precious stones, cut and set in gold, silver and platinum settings, create harmonious ensembles. The existing marks indicate that they were made by craftsmen from Yekaterinburg.

The exhibition features several dozen works by Faberge, which highlight the skill of jewelers from 1880-1910.

Among the collection of jewelry are works from the Russian Gems factory and Sverdlovsk jewelers who created their masterpieces in the 1950s-1970s.

Mineralogical collection

In the collection of minerals presented in the Museum, emerald specimens occupy the first place. Visitors can see the Zvezdar ore, which is a gem in the natural environment of mica. And the “New Year’s” emerald was found melted into a rock with a beryl-flagopite composition. Another exhibit in the collection is considered to be Alexandrov’s demantoid.

Household and cult silver

The collection of household and cult silver opens with cutlery from the 18th century. Hunting scenes are replaced by ancient themes, close to the culture of the 20s of the 19th century. The museum displays objects made of silver, crystal and glass from Faberge and works by contemporary authors.

Archeology

On the territory of the museum in 1999-2002. Archaeological excavations were carried out, which revealed the remains of wooden buildings on the site where the living quarters for the command staff were located. The archaeological collection includes sets of dishes and items made of glass, iron, and porcelain, dating back to the 18th-19th centuries.

Book collection

The museum's book collection is constantly replenished by magazines and newspapers published in Russia and abroad, which reflect the history and development of stone-cutting and jewelry art in the world.

A place of honor in the collection is occupied by the first edition of the book, which contains Bazhov’s tales, his “Malachite Box”, published in 1939.

Museum visitors can familiarize themselves with posters and catalogs, articles and other printed materials accompanying exhibitions and competitions related to stone cutting and jewelry.

Master classes and their cost

Educational classes are organized for children and adults at the Museum of the History of Stone-Cutting and Jewelry Art of Yekaterinburg. You can try your hand at making crafts and jewelry using them. Individual master classes are paid in the amount of 300 rubles.

If a group comes to a class by appointment, then the ticket price for one person ranges from 200 to 250 rubles. depending on the topic of the event:
