What we saw

The May exhibition “New Russian Style” is one of four in the JUNWEX series, which takes place throughout the year in Moscow (more about Junvex). Active advertising, which is launched before the exhibition, is aimed at attracting both wholesale and retail buyers. It is believed that only here you can see new collections from the country's leading jewelry companies collected in one place.

This year, the crowd of exhibitors generally did not differ from what we are used to seeing in the 75th pavilion of VDNKh. The basis was “classic jewelry” with and without stones from various enterprises in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kostroma and other cities. Manufacturers of religious items, amber items, crafts (Kubachi, Rostov enamel and Northern Chern) and blocks of Yakut manufacturers with characteristic ethnic motifs and “native” diamonds were noticeably represented.

In addition to the largest enterprises (some of which occupied separate areas B and C and fenced themselves off from “passing-by” retail buyers with solid structures), small designer productions could also be found at the exhibition.

The most interesting. Editor's Choice

We learned about the young Kostroma brand KU&KU even before the exhibition from the advertising mailing of one of the industry portals. We were attracted by the Stained Glass collection with its stained glass enamel and bold shapes. By the way, the collection approach to the production of products in itself is still a new word in the life of domestic jewelry brands, but the KU&KU brand is already applying it to the maximum extent (we are even slightly drowned in the abundance of collections on the site :)

The Moscow jewelry company “Adria” has existed for more than 13 years. His strong point is designer jewelry, the design of which has been created by one person all this time - Sergey Andreichenko. The list of collections on the site is impressive separately - topics from “Frogs” and astrology to “Avant-garde”:

The Markazit jewelry company produces silver jewelry with a shimmering effect, which is formed due to the inclusion of pyrite, specially cut at Swarovski factories. The resulting crystals in combination with “drip” silver give a luxurious and at the same time noble effect. Like, for example, on this set with pearls:

The factory of the famous Russian craft "Rostov Enamel" today follows two directions - "vintage", as they call the usual bluish floral painted enamel, and "modern" - with bright abstractions and a line of hot enamel. And let’s be honest, “vintage” still wins visually, especially if the frame is made of darkened silver that is familiar to the eye:

Let us compare vintage items made of light silver and modern collections. Something is missing?

The designers of the Shining of Siberia enterprise (office in Moscow, production - Siberian Jewelry Factory) came up with a laconic way to convey to the consumer the idea of the value of Russian diamonds from Yakutia. A handful of uncut diamonds were sealed in ultra-strong glass and turned into pendants, rings and earrings with a total weight of 1.5 to 3 carats:

The jewelry company ArtAuro, whose production is located in Obninsk near Moscow, creates stylish designer mini-collections and custom-made jewelry for women, men and children. These are “piece” things with high-quality precious stones that look modern and elegant:

The St. Petersburg Jewelry Factory pleased us with its unusual approach to the children's assortment, and presented delicate cabochon balls made of (as we assume) rose quartz in the form of animals and insects in the window:

At the stand of the Kabarovsky jewelry house, we noticed a set of laconic stick earrings and a necklace made of two-tone gold with delicate decor in the form of curlicues in the Russian style:

And jewelry designers gently and delicately played with shades of lilac:

showed bright and affordable denim-style rings made of silver and carbon in the GK Active collection, if we remember correctly - created in collaboration with an Italian designer:

The jewelry store stood out with especially touching decorations with figurines of animals - symbols of the region. Deer, wolf and other images became the basis for signature Yakut chandelier earrings. A lot of beautiful ethnic music can be found on the company’s Instagram:

In the showcase of the Gold Stream company from Kostroma, we noticed beautiful tourmaline cabochons, as well as an ornamental stone rarely presented in jewelry retail - greenish northern labradorite that sparkles in the sun. The case when a jewelry designer only helps a natural “designer”:

The Peraskeva brand (previously known as the Zolottse jewelry factory) develops Russian jewelry traditions. As it turns out, traditional techniques and ornaments get along quite well with the latest fashion trends - tassels, geometry and layering:

At the showcase of the ART I FACT brand from the Jewelry House (Ekaterinburg), we could not pass by a volumetric geometric set with long earrings in the abstract genre:

And finally, at the exit from the Junevex - New Russian Style exhibition, we met with the St. Petersburg brand of designer transformable bracelets Eye & Fingers. You can put pre-selected phrases on the leather base, telling the world about your mood:

Why visit JUNWEX exhibitions?

  • First of all, Junevex jewelry exhibitions are something like an “exhibition of the achievements of the jewelry industry” throughout Russia. On a single platform, visitors see the whole variety of jewelry that is produced from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. Many pieces of jewelry simply cannot be found in jewelry stores in any one city, even such a large one as Moscow.
  • The opportunity to be the first to see and try on new items and trendy jewelry from leading manufacturers that have not yet hit store shelves. It is important to remember that some jewelry may not appear in the store at all, and the exhibition is the only place where they are available
  • Junvex exhibitions are a convenient opportunity to choose from a variety of options the best decoration in a certain style and for a certain occasion. For example, if you are looking for unusual wedding rings, then going to an exhibition will replace the long process of visiting many jewelry stores
  • The opportunity to find not only an unusual and beautiful “mass-produced” product, but also to buy for yourself or as a gift something exclusive, original, for example, made in a single copy
  • Jewelry from the main collections of manufacturers is sold at the exhibition at factory prices - noticeably cheaper than they will cost later, when they hit the stores
  • A wide selection of more "scarce" men's and children's jewelry is also available at JUNWEX exhibitions
  • And finally, visitors will be greeted by a pleasant and friendly atmosphere: company employees at the stands are always ready to help with the selection of the right decoration, explain all the nuances and tell about their company

Our advice to Junevex exhibition visitors

JUNWEX jewelry exhibitions are usually held at the largest venues, which are even physically very difficult to get around in one visit. It is even more difficult to maintain concentration when examining thousands of specimens in the collections on display. To make your stay at the Junevex exhibition memorable as a holiday and to be useful, we recommend:

  • If possible, it is better to come on weekdays. On weekdays there are fewer visitors, and there is a larger selection of jewelry that has not yet been sold out. Try also planning two days to visit the exhibition. You can find something interesting first and make a purchasing decision later
  • Try to arrive early so you have enough time before closing so you don't have to make rushed purchasing decisions.
  • Pick up the catalog and layout plan for exhibitors at the entrance, or look at the website in advance. This will help you choose the optimal route for moving around the halls, especially if you know which stands you must see
  • Don’t be shy and ask questions to the consultants at the stands - they will be happy to help you!
  • Take breaks and relax - there is usually a café at the exhibition
  • On the Junevex VKontakte page you can almost always download a pdf file with a ticket before the exhibition and print it out completely free of charge, at the same time saving yourself from the need to waste time purchasing it at the entrance
