Another trend that deserves to be talked about, and not only talked about, but also used in your outfits.
This is a pearl! You say, what’s new, since pearls have remained pearls since ancient times, and the famous Chanel included pearl necklaces in the list of the most significant in the 20s - a hundred years ago?... Chanel was supported by no less famous fashionistas and simply beautiful women of the 50s - 60s of the last century. Grace Kelly, Jacqueline Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn, and Princess Diana loved pearls. Then the time came when pearl jewelry lost its popularity.
But in modern fashion, interest in pearls has increased again, and this is not the first season that girls with magnificent pearl necklaces have appeared on the catwalk. However, designers presented not only multi-layered pearl threads, but also included it in bracelets, earrings, decorated belts and even buttons with it.

How to wear pearls to be on trend
How to wear pearl jewelry such as necklaces today?
One, two or more threads? What size pearls to choose and what to combine them with? Pearls look equally impressive at any age. Modern fashion reserves for us the right to wear one, two, etc. pearl necklaces. threads Although stylists talk about it this way - the older the woman, the greater the number of threads she can wear, but for the youngest it is better to allow only one.
The same applies to the size of pearls - beads with a smaller diameter are intended for young people; with age, large pearls can be used. But I would like to stop here, because lately we have seen constant violation of rules everywhere (in fashion), so it is better and more interesting for a woman with taste and style to figure it out and experiment on her own. Now let's look at the most interesting ideas of designers.
Properties of pink pearls in astrology
Pink pearls also receive considerable attention from astrologers. It is believed that Burmitz grain of this shade can help you find true love, overcome shyness and improve relationships with the opposite sex. Astrologers are of the opinion that the delicate pink mineral is a symbol of purity and innocence; it is ideal for those representatives of the fair sex who do not have evil intentions and their thoughts are pure.
According to astrology, pink pearls suit almost all zodiac signs:
- For Gemini, mother-of-pearl will help cope with stormy emotions when making important decisions.
- For Pisces, jewelry with one small pearl is enough to become happier.
- For Leos, the mineral will help curb their violent temper.
- Pearl jewelry will protect Aquarius from evil gossip.
- Scorpios are better off purchasing products with black pearls rather than pink ones.
- A pink pearl is ideal for Taurus, as they have a peaceful disposition; it will help develop their attention and improve their memory.
- Pearls will help Libra avoid collisions with envious people and protect them from the evil eye.
- The mineral will help cancers cope with many diseases.
- Capricorns should wear items with mother-of-pearl as a sedative.
- For Virgos, Burmitz grain will become a powerful amulet.
- Pink pearls also favor Aries.
It is not recommended to wear jewelry, including earrings with pink pearls, for representatives of such a zodiac sign as Sagittarius, since they cannot always cope with their emotions, they have powerful energy, and the mineral will be useless for them in magical terms.
Combination of pearls with chains
It is known that in modern fashion chains occupy one of the leading places in their popularity. What if you combine pearl threads and chains at the same time?

This is how we got another trendy variation – chains and pearls, which can fit into almost any style, focusing on romantic femininity.
Pink pearl jewelry
Having seen a photo of pink pearls, many representatives of the fair sex think about buying products made from it. Choosing jewelry with pink pearls is quite a difficult task, since it is important to take into account the size, shade and shape of the mineral.
In addition, it is important to be able to distinguish fake from real Burmitz grain. To be able to distinguish imitation mother of pearl, you must adhere to the following rules:
- A real mineral is heavier than an artificial bead.
- If you throw a natural pearl, it will easily bounce off a flat surface.
- An artificial bead is less durable than a real one and is easily scratched.
- Pearls of natural origin cannot be absolutely smooth; their surface is always slightly rough.
Pink pearls are used to make beads, necklaces, and bracelets; they are used as inserts in gold earrings, rings, and pendants. The mineral goes well with a frame made of any metal, be it silver, yellow, pink, red or white gold, or platinum. But, according to experts, pearls themselves are luxurious and therefore do not need expensive framing.

Pearls are traditionally associated with purity and perfection. Many women exclude black outfits from their wardrobe, especially near the face. But by decorating your neck with snow-white strings of pearls, you can easily soften the black color - pearls will highlight your face and spread radiance around you.

How to care for pink pearl jewelry
Pink pearls will last a long time and delight the eye of their owner if they are properly cared for. It is worth remembering that Burmitz grain does not tolerate temperature changes, the effects of other precious metals (this should be taken into account when storing products), various perfumes, creams and deodorants.
- Since pearls do not tolerate heat and sunlight well, jewelry with them should not be worn during the daytime in the summer; the pearl necklace must be removed before going to the bathhouse or sauna.
- Pearls easily dissolve in chemicals, so exposure to vinegar and other acids is dangerous for them. For example, when doing household chores, cleaning the stove or sink, a ring decorated with a pink pearl must be removed.
- Beads, bracelets, and earrings with mother-of-pearl should be stored separately from other jewelry, since rings and pendants with diamonds and emeralds can cause mechanical damage to them.
- Pearls perfectly retain their beauty when stored in boxes lined with velvet or velor.
You cannot clean pearl jewelry with soap or powder; it must be polished with a flannel or velvet cloth. If, in addition to pearls, the product contains precious stones, then it is worth taking it to a jewelry workshop or store that provides jewelry cleaning services.
Pearl earrings
Stud earrings with pearls will always add an accent to your look, emphasizing femininity and purity in a girl. But in modern fashion, large and massive earrings have taken a leading position. Such jewelry with pearls do not lose their tenderness and purity, be it curtain earrings or chandeliers. Hoop earrings are also popular. And since today fashion strives for asymmetry and deconstructivism, why not use a mono-earring or cuffs, or both at once.

Composition and properties of Burmitz grain
Burmitz grain, also known as pearls, is formed inside the shell of a mollusk that produces nacre. In order for a pearl to appear inside the shell, it is necessary that a foreign body enters it, for example, small sea creatures, algae or sand. In this case, the mollusk will activate its protective functions and begin to envelop the foreign object with nacre, gradually turning it into pearls.
The pearl inside the shell can have almost any shape and color; it takes up to 20 years for the mollusk to form large specimens. Due to this and the labor-intensive process of extracting the precious mineral, its cost is very high. But today people have learned to cultivate pearls, fully participating in the process of its creation, influencing the size, color and shape. Cultured pearls will cost slightly less than natural ones.
The mineral consists of the following substances:
- Conchiolin;
- Potassium carbonate;
- Water.
Pink pearls are quite valuable, but the black mineral is considered the most expensive, since it is very rare in nature and is also not easy to cultivate. Pink pearls are famous for their brilliance; they shine in the sun like a diamond.
Since ancient times, pearl pink products have been considered talismans for women; according to legends, they helped with diseases of the cardiovascular system, problems with the gastrointestinal tract, restored mental balance, and calmed the nerves. Modern scientists also do not deny the healing properties of the mineral; it is quite successfully used in lithotherapy.
The ancient Egyptians also believed in the miraculous powers of pink pearls; it was not for nothing that their queen Cleopatra loved jewelry with them so much. In Egypt, it was believed that a woman who had a bracelet or necklace made of pink pearls would remain beautiful and young for a very long time. Another queen Semiramis loved this mineral so much that at all festivities she wore at least seven strands of pink pearls.
In the Middle Ages, people also believed that pearls could bring happiness to a young bride, so they gave their future wife beads or earrings made from this mineral. Also in the Middle Ages, the clothes of rich ladies were decorated with pearls; even on the dresses of little girls it was customary to sew small pearls. If you plunge into the depths of history, you can recall the fact that at the time of the christening of Louis 13, his mother, Queen of France Marie de Medici, was dressed in a dress embroidered with 30,000 pearls.
As can be seen from the above, the mineral has attracted the attention of people at all times; in every country there is an interesting story in which there will be a mention of it.
Growing methods
There are now only two technologies for growing pearls - nuclear and non-nuclear. In both ways, the growth of jewelry lasts for years (this is a business with a long payback period).
It takes a mollusk several years to grow a pearl of jewelry value, since it grows approximately a millimeter or two in diameter per year. The specific period depends on the method of cultivation, water temperature, type of mollusk and other conditions.
All methods of growing pearls are based on a simple surgical operation - carefully opening the mollusk in order to place a “seed” in it - the basis of the future jewel.
Nuclear
This method involves the use of two or even three different mollusks - a mantle donor, a seed nucleus donor and a recipient, a kind of “surrogate mother”.
From an invertebrate that has a well-developed gonad - a reproductive gland that secretes nacre - a piece of the mantle (the soft layer between the body and the shell) is taken. It is implanted into the mantle of the recipient oyster to increase and speed up the release of nacre.
From another or the same donor, a seed core is taken - a tiny pearl of the shape that they want to get as a result, and is placed in the mantle cavity of the recipient next to the mantle implant. Sometimes cheap freshwater pearls are used as the core. The main thing is the form.
Having a perfectly round core, you can get a perfectly round large pearl.
Mostly saltwater cultured pearls are obtained this way.

After these procedures, the mollusk is sent back to the sea to “ripen.” The chances of successful implantation are 60–70%. The invertebrate may reject it or simply die. But if this does not happen, after a while - from two to five years - the oyster is taken out to obtain finished pearls.
Nuclear-free
The only difference between this method of growing pearls is that the implantation of a particle of the mantle of another invertebrate is not used, and any solid substances are used as a seed - fragments of the shell of the same or another oyster, grains of sand and similar substances.
The nuclear-free method is simpler and cheaper, but does not allow you to control the shape of the pearls. This method is used to produce mainly freshwater baroque pearls, the value of which lies precisely in the whimsicality of their shapes. There are quite a few types of pearls, varying in size and color.
