Everything can be categorized by heat: this element was called Fire, all things can also be more or less solid (Earth), have different fluidity (Water) and density or prevalence (Air).

4 elements for charging the talisman

The word “element” carries a different meaning for a scientist and for a magician. From the point of view of scientists, the theory of 4 elements is meaningless: there are many more chemical elements! But in magic, 4 elements determine the properties and qualities of matter, and not its chemical composition.

You've probably heard of people using other people's hair to cast "spells" on them. It is believed that the hair itself does not represent the person from whom it was taken, but is “in sympathy” with him. Here the word “sympathy” goes back to its archaic meaning and means “close relationship.” This is why this type of magic is called Sympathy Magic.

These things can be more than just hair. A portrait, piece of clothing, claw, drawing or doll can also be used. Generalizing, you can find a lot of things that a person is connected with. A list of correspondences can be made, similar to the list of Kabbalistic Correspondences given earlier.

4 elements also have their correspondences. Here are some of them:

AIR: feather, incense, blue or gold colors.
EARTH: mountain, Tarot pentacles, colors: brown, black, green.
FIRE: piece of coal, match, colors: red, red-orange.

Friendship, cooperation, all alliances, pretense, tight negotiations, beauty, rest, recuperation, meditation, spirituality, wounds, restoration, childhood and infancy, home, sensitivity, family, swimming, diving, fishing, ancestors, compassion, nanny, insight .

Here you can also notice that some things are repeated. For example, the house is mentioned in connection with Water and with Earth. This allows these terms to be more clearly defined. In connection with the element Earth, "house" refers to the structure, the building where you live. In connection with the Water element, "home" refers to the characteristics of home life: love, stability, support, etc.

You can add to the lists yourself - as a result of your work with the elements over the past few months. Keep a small notebook with precise definitions of what each element represents to you. Use the list below to start and then expand from there. Based on the information received, you can already make talismans.

Our world is ruled by a powerful law - the law of Karma, cause and effect. Every action you take has consequences that will affect you. Those who practice Lower Magic believe that what they have done will return in triple quality. If you do good, you will be rewarded three times. If you commit a negative action, it is rewarded to you three times. Karma extends to the next life; neither suicide nor death can save you from it.

For example, you want to leave the country; for this you need a lot of money. You make the appropriate talisman. A little later you find out that your parents were in a catastrophe and died, leaving a large inheritance. You practiced Gray Magic and helped yourself on the physical plane in getting money, but your talisman sign could contribute to the death of your parents, therefore, your magic is black.

Karma is amoral: it does not take morality into account. She's completely fair. There are no exceptions to the law of Karma, just as there are no exceptions to the law of gravity. If you practice Black Magic, regardless of whether you set this goal for yourself or not, sooner or later you will have to pay for it. Therefore, it is better never to engage in it: even if based on considerations of self-defense, and not from moral considerations.

In the above case, the talisman does not know whether his Gray Magic will become Black. Therefore, it is first necessary to make predictions regarding the advisability of using a talisman and what the outcome may be. This will protect you from “slipping” into Black Magic and from unwanted consequences.

Charging Slavic amulets?

The overwhelming majority of talismans belonging to the Slavic pagan culture are dedicated to chthonic deities who were worshiped by their ancestors before the adoption of Christianity. To charge such a talisman with power, you need to correctly compose an appeal addressed to a particular force.

Many Slavic amulets are able to act without additional energy supply, since they are charged with the power of nature and the Universe. However, this applies to a greater extent to talismans made by hand. If the amulet was purchased, it must be consecrated in accordance with the traditions of paganism.

First, you should find out which deity the amulet is dedicated to , and only after that prepare an offering expressing gratitude to a higher power. You don’t have to make any special efforts: fruits, wheat bread or natural honey are used as a universal offering.

They must be presented to the deity by burning them in a ritual fire lined with birch or spruce firewood. When building a fire pit, shape it in the form of a closed well or a pyramid with a truncated top. Ritual offerings (the so-called “treba”) are laid out on top.

Light a fire with one match or a lit torch and, looking at the flames, pronounce an invocation to the deity, whose symbol is the Slavic amulet you have. The words of the spell do not have to be universal: you can compose the text yourself by finding the right words in your soul. If nothing comes to mind, say this:

“Fire and water, fire and water! Woe, go away! Go away, trouble! Take my amulet, charge it with your power!”

Then pour a little consecrated water into the fire, but do not douse the flame, just slightly wet the wood so that it crackles more. If the request fell into the fire and was engulfed in flames, it means that higher powers heard the request. If the answer is negative, delay the ritual of charging the talisman. Do not put out the ritual fire under any circumstances: you should wait until the fire pit burns out completely.
