Place of extraction
There are deposits of the yellow variety of topaz in different parts of the planet. Each deposit has its own shades.
In Europe, these are Germany (Schneckestein), Russia and Ukraine (Volyn). The Volynskoye field is now mothballed. It is famous for its large size and quality of crystals.
Yellow-brown, including wine-colored, specimens were found here. In 1965, a yellow-orange giant weighing 117 kg was discovered. The stones are not resistant to ultraviolet radiation and heat.
