How to distinguish a real stone from a fake

Agate is widespread in nature, so it is rarely counterfeited. Copies that have been enhanced to enhance or change the colors of the layers are not considered counterfeit.

Rules of care

It is better to store jewelry with agate in a separate canvas bag so that the hard stone does not damage other products. The mineral should not be left in direct sunlight for a long time, because this will result in a decrease in color saturation.

Many deposits are located in places where there were volcanoes in ancient times, for example, in the Urals, Crimea, Chukotka, Magadan region, Nenets Autonomous Okrug and even in the Prioksky district of the Moscow region.

The same large deposits as in the Urals are located in Tajikistan, Armenia, Georgia, India, Mongolia, Brazil, and Uruguay.

In Germany and Ukraine, only small placers of this mineral have been preserved.
